In today’s society “junk” is the name of the game, says Terry Simpson MD. If its bad for you than it is most likely popular, but that is not the way it should be for those of us who are concerned with our health and the health of those we love. Staying active and learning is something that must be done, but why isnt eating healthy higher on that list. Not only does eating healthy effect every aspect of a person life for the better, but studies even show that people that eat healthy are more likely to live longer. Of course everyone might know that, but if they know that then why are they not doing it? Because eating healthy requires dedication and sometimes indulging yourself in a box of chocolates or a bag of chips is just easier. Giving all the “good stuff” up is not totally necessary, but eating less of it is a start, and when your energy is higher and your mood lighter it will entice you to go further in the healthy life.
Eating healthy has the greatest benefits for the eater. Eating healthy prolongs life, already said that; eating healthy promotes better attitudes towards goals and in general life, and eating healthy has been said to attract the opposite sex. Its in our nature to want a healthy mate, but if we keep eating like we eat now, indulging ourselves in the succulents of malnourishment we may just wake up one day and find that there is nothing healthy left in this world says Terry Simpson MD. We need to dedicate ourselves to getting society back in the kitchen and out of the burger joints, back on the treadmill and off of the insulin. Thank you and happy eating!
